Andorra has just unveiled the themes and designs of its two 2 euro commemorative coins of 2021.

The first coin is dedicated to the centenary of the coronation of Our Lady of Meritxell. The coin will have a mintage of 73.750 of which 70.000 are BU coins in a coincard and 3.750 are proof coins.

The second coin is dedicated to the old population who suffered from COVID-19. The coin includes has the inscription ‘Let’s take care of our old people’. 70.000 coins will be minted and packaged in a BU coincard.

Also a BU set will be issued containing the 8 regular denominations of Andorra dated 2021. 10.500 sets will be minted.

Es wird auch zwei Sammlermünzen geben

"Darüber hinaus hat der Inhaber der Finanzen erklärt, dass zwei Sammlermünzen mit einem Nennwert von 1,25 Euro und Stiche einer Grandalla oder der Pont de la Margineda ebenfalls geprägt werden. In diesem Fall ist das verwendete Material Kupfer-Nickel und mit einer Auflage von 3.000 Serien."
